Julie Hopkins

Having spent my childhood in the Hudson River Valley and on the south shore of Long Island, and as a Ridgefield, CT resident for the past 27 years, I focus on painting landscapes and vignettes of local scenes from those areas.

My still life paintings tend to be studies of ‘found objects’– stones, seashells, and local flora and fauna—in their natural settings.
I have had the privilege of studying plein aire painting with several pastel artists including Doug Dawson, Christine Debrosky, Stanley Maltzman and Bob Rohm.

Please email Julie if you would like more information about any of the works depicted in this website gallery, or if you are interested in commissioning a painting.
