3-Day Workshop with Nancie King Mertz – Painting Structures in your Landscape
An en plein air painting workshop that is all about using rapid plein air pastel methods to help you “get the drawing right.” We will create dramatic, expressive paintings using an early brushwork technique in the darks, and learn to make correct decisions using one or two point perspective. THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS. We hope to reschedule the workshop for summer 2021.

CPS 2022 Renaissance in Pastel 29th Annual National Juried Exhibition
Our flagship show, the annual Renaissance In Pastel Exhibition, will be held this year at the Lyme Art Association in Old Lyme, CT. The exhibit will feature nearly 100 unique pastel paintings by artists from the United States and other countries. This juried show offers the best examples of pastel paintings in the region.
