Bonnie Potter is an award winning painter who shows extensively across New England. Once a native of Maine, she currently resides in Meriden, maintaining her northern summer retreat. The influence off Maine’s natural beauty prevails strongly in many of Ms Potter’s paintings; her love of art and nature combine to create a diversity of harmonious settings that provide a resting place for the viewer.
“My passion for painting has brought me great joy and fulfillment. As I have extended my boundaries of knowledge and skill in the arts I have found a deep sense of fulfillment. I take great pride in my accomplishments and pleasure in bringing beauty to the canvas.
I have done extensive studies under the guidance of Bruce Raven and attended Lyme Academy of Fine Arts.
Many of my paintings hang in private collections from New Jersey to Maine as well as the commissioned works I have painted for clients.
My subject matter covers a broad spectrum including landscapes, still life and portraits.”
“I have competed in local and national shows. On the local level I have won numerous awards including Best in oils as well as Pastel awards. On the national level I have won in pastels and have hung in galleries throughout Connecticut.
Currently, I sit on the board of the Connecticut Pastel Society, belong to many art groups and am a member of the Arts and Crafts of Meriden.”
